The Fatted Calf, along with House of Life and Hope, owns a Mexican meat business, burger restaurant and cattle ranch to build relationships, serve others and provide employment.
carnisimo:
A meat-processing business started in 2010 that specializes in providing high-quality meat products to consumers throughout the state of Sonora.
rancho agua viva
A cattle ranch established in 2015 with the goal of producing top notch genetics for area ranchers that efficiently convert sunlight to beef in the Sonoran Desert environment.
Carnisimo burgers:
A burger restaurant opened doors in 2018 to provide value to customers thru great-tasting menu options, served with outstanding service in a family environment.
Programs of the fatted Calf:
EXPO Esperanza
A 4-H-like summer program and exposition for the youth at Casa Vida y Esperanza and the community of Magdalena.
The Fatted Calf Scholarship
The Fatted Calf provides scholarships for the children of CVE to attend college or technical schools.
Summer Internship Program
Each summer, interns work in Magdalena, teaching EXPO project classes and animal practice and assisting with Fatted Calf programs.
